The other night I drove out to Troy, MO to The Ink Spot to hang out with Robby Kallery (Tattoo artist/ Festival Promoter/ Singer). This week I caught up with 2 producer/engineers that are on top of their game, none other than Jason McEntire & Preston Jones of Sawhorse Studios. Sawhorse has been a staple of St.Louis music for the last 10 years. They've recorded with some of my favorites like Funky Butt Brass Band, The Sleepy Rubies, The Provels, Fivefold, The Goodtime Engineers, The Feed, Midnight Reveille, Kevin Bowers and the list goes on. We recorded this one in Jason's studio after hours and had a lot of laughs. We talk about their start into music and becoming audio engineers, some good advice for bands looking to record and everything else!
